Least 'Skill Spammy' Professions? :)
Which professions do not require you to spam skills all the time to be effective?
It may be that certain skills can be changed out for a profession to make it less spammy: as an example, I was showing my friend the Elementalist class and let him wander around a bit to play. And he got tired of spamming flare constantly. I imagine a profession using skills that stay active constantly while reducing energy regeneration would be less spammy? Tricky question, but would appreciate some suggestions |

Well, quite honestly, if you consider spamming flare all the time to be an effective elementalist, I think you need to take another look at what you're doing. A flare spammer is the worst thing to base how an elementalist works off of. Flare spamming does less damage than one Conjure spell + your wand.
No class should be played via mindless spamming, though every class could be. Rather than ask for a less spamy class, perhaps you should think about switching up what skills you're using instead. Spamming is always less effective than paying attention to what's happening, choosing your skills wise, and knowing when and when not to use those skills. Even a class such as elementalist, which at first glance would seem to need to constantly be casting to be effective, beneifts from not casting at selective times. Know what to do, when to do it, and when not to do it, and you'll find that no class is just mindless spam. |

The Necromancer is probably what your friend is looking for; it's slow-casting.

He asked me which professions are less spammy and I have no idea. There are times when my 20 Monk/Mesmer gets spammy (especially when the team is under heavy fire). I think his question is a valid one, but I did not have a good answer for him. Some professions seem to use skills more spaced out and some are more skill intensive. Thank you for the reply. |
